Program Description:
Located in Coastal Maine, this fifty acre camp includes a mile of beautiful and private shoreline. The setting is peaceful and campers get the opportunity to unplug and connect with real people in daily activities and cabin life. The camp offers a full range of traditional residential camp activities. Campers are able to choose from a wide variety of daily activities when they arrive; they are also able to have free time scheduled into their day to hang out with friends at the water front, swim, play pool or ping pong in the lodge or visit the camp store for a snack.
Accommodations:
Campers sleep in cabins with eight or nine other campers of similar age and two counselors. The cabins are rustic but comfortable. The weekly menu usually includes barbecued chicken, roast beef, hamburgers, roast turkey or ham, as well as fresh seafood.
Daily Activities:
Swimming, sailing, fishing, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, wind-surfing, water-skiing, rafting, hiking, biking, tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer, frisbee, zipping, drawing, painting and more. Evening activities include Square Dance, Talent Night, All-Camp Sleep Out, Carnival, Skit Night, Water Night, Swing Dance, Bowling, and Skating. Weekends include special all-camp activities, such as trips to local state parks or sporting events. Car washes are held one Saturday each session to raise money for charitable organizations.
Adventure Trips:
Campers can choose from a list of trips to suit their interest and ability level. Short two- and three-day adventure trips are offered as well as more intense longer wilderness trips. There is sightseeing to Boston or Quebec City, Whale Watching, striped bass fishing, two-day canoe or kayak trips taken right from Camp, overnight sailing trips, half day surfing trips, whitewater rafting trips, three- to four- day hiking or biking trips and 4-5 day wilderness canoe trips. All of these are geared to the level of the campers that are participating in them.
